Having recently posted my image of Carnedd Llewelyn in Snowdonia on my Facebook British Landscapes Photography page where it received a positive response from my followers I have decided to offer it as December’s Print of the month.
Captured 14 years ago this month on my first digital camera – a Fuji 6900Z from a hillside near Llanddulus on the North Wales coast it clearly shows why it is the dominant feature and focal point of the Carneddau range.  At the time I had done a little walking in Snowdonia but since then I have managed to reach Carnedd Llewelyn’s summit.  At 3491 feet it is the third highest of the over 3000 feet peaks of Wales being only just 100 feet less than Snowdon which I have also been fortunate enough to summit.  The highest lake in Wales, Llyn Llyffant lies to the lee of the summit of Carnedd Llywelyn.
